NJBG needs your help to save the charming and historic Pump House, one of the most iconic buildings in the NJ State Botanical Gardens.

Built in the late 1800s, the Pump House is the first building you see when entering the park. It has long needed repair, with many missing shingles and large holes in its roof.
Unfortunately, the State does not currently have the funds to do the work, so NJBG has taken on the project. We were granted State approval to proceed on September 29, 2020, and work has begun with reconstruction work to be done this fall.
Please help us restore and preserve this beautiful historic building. We are asking you – our many thousands of visitors, supporters, volunteers, and members – to join us with your tax-deductible donations.
Remember, the NJ State Botanical Gardens are your gardens and a wonderful benefit to all who visit, take pictures, and enjoy the many events we host each year, including our annual Plant Sale, Harvest Fest, Holiday Open House, Garden and Manor House tours, and great children’s events.
Due to Covid-19, all our events have regrettably been cancelled this year, and as a result, all our regular fundraising has also been cancelled.
So please be generous – your tax-deductible donation will help save
a wonderful piece of history!
